CIES (China Illuminating Engineering Society) organized the scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting of "Manufacturing technology of multi-functional polycarbonate based optical diffusion materials"
On December 15, 2024, commissioned by Jiangxi Shenghui Optical Technology Collaborative Innovation Co., LTD., .China Illuminating Engineering Society organized a scientific and technological achievement evaluation meeting on "Manufacturing Technology of Multi-functional polycarbonate based optical diffusion materials" in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province.
The appraisal panel comprised seven prominent experts, including:
- Chen Xuesi, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Researcher at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, CAS;
- Tang Guoqing, Vice President of the China Illuminating Engineering Society and Executive General Manager of MLS Co., Ltd.;
- Wang Meng, former Deputy Chief Engineer and Professor-Level Senior Engineer at the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design;
- Xu Hua, Chief Electrical Engineer and Professor-Level Senior Engineer at the Tsinghua University Architectural Design and Research Institute;
- Chang Zhigang, Vice Dean and Professor at the Art and Design Research Institute of the Central Academy of Fine Arts;
- Yao Mengming, Specially Invited Vice President of the China Illuminating Engineering Society and General Manager of Lighting Design and Applications at Signify Greater China;
- Guo Ruiqian, Director of Industry-Academic-Research Collaboration at Fudan University Professor.

During the meeting, Shenghui Optical made a detailed introduction of the project background, technical innovation and breakthrough, the commercialization process, team, benefit analysis and future planning of the "Multi-functional polycarbonate based optical diffusion material manufacturing technology" project. The expert group carefully listened to the presentation of the project team's achievements and reviewed the relevant materials of scientific and technological achievements in detail. After full discussion and communication the experts put forward appraisal opinions on the scientific and technological achievements of "manufacturing technology of multi-functional polycarbonate based optical diffusion materials" from the aspect of science, advancement and practicability.
After in-depth discussion, the expert group believes that the project has a number of innovative points, aiming at the poorly performing design, low light transmission, poor weather resistance, deficiency of optical uniformity and functional mobility of the existing optical materials , as well as the backward problem of domestic dedicated device and process, through the blending modification of polycarbonate significantly improve the temperature characteristics and weather resistance of the material. Effectively delay the attenuation of material properties; Through the new optical micro structure design, the optical film with different functions is formed, and the light diffusion effect and light transmittance of the material is improved, and the light transmittance more than 93%. Through the independent design of multi-layer composite production process and special production equipment to improve material compatibility, eliminate material residual stress, can prepare diversified light diffusion materials, significantly improve the production efficiency.
Experts agreed that the scientific and technological achievements of "multi-functional polycarbonate based optical diffusion material manufacturing technology" have independent intellectual property rights, and the whole has reached the international advanced level, among which the diffusion brightening composite optical diaphragm and its preparation method have reached the international leading level.
